Who is Emailer Jones? Emailer Jones is the icon of our email marketing service and is the electronic equivalent of the paper-boy of old. We are a business segment of Rio Management Services, llc based in Granville, OH and a sister segment to Rio's web-design and Search Engine Optimization segments.
Which email templates are free? We have a library of “ready-to-use” newsletter templates that have already been tested for email compatibility. If you are looking for the most economical option we are sure you will find a template that you like.
How do I use one of the free templates? It's pretty simple if you have an HTML editor such as Coda or Sea Monkey. Once you have downloaded the template files, you simply make the modifications to the template that you need (logos, text, pictures, etc.) and upload it back to Emailer Jones for your campaign. You will need to also upload a zip file that includes all the graphics in the email. If you need some help, just let us know.
What if want an email designed “my way”? If you have specific branding requirements or need a special look and feel to your email, we will create a customized template to your specifications. The template can even be fully re-useable for all future email campaigns if you want (for an additional charge)
How are my subscribers handled? We will make sure your email subscriber database is current before each transmission. Your Emailer Jones account manager will work with you to get the latest list of subscribers in an Excel file and upload your list for you. Note: websites built by Pigasus Webs can take advantage of our automatic subscriber integration toolsets at no charge.
Will you write my content for me? It is a simple process for us to take an email from you and update your email content. However, we know that many of you have the vision but don't have the time to actually write out the details. If that is the case with you, we will be glad to write your email text for you but you will need to complete a “90 Day Roadmap” so that we can accurately capture your marketing strategy, themes, and key points.
What is included in the 90 Day Roadmap? The roadmap defines all the key elements of your email marketing plan including your goals, schedules, customer lists, and the thematic portions of the emails themselves. Your account manager will fill out the roadmap in discussion with you. The roadmap then provides both you and your account manager with a structured plan that will be referenced for the email campaign and its follow-up activities.
Can you explain the costs of the email campaign a little more? In order to provide the most flexible pricing schedule possible, Emailer Jones utilizes a simple “pay as you go” pricing schedule. You are only charged when you actually send your email campaign. There is no required monthly fee or sign-up period. You can cancel any time you wish, just let us know. For each email campaign or “blast” that you send, you will be charged $10.00 plus $.05 per email address. This includes any follow-up sequences, auto-responder type emails that are sent. You have complete control over exactly when the emails are sent. You can choose to pay with your credit card or have an invoice sent to you from Emailer Jones. Please note that all invoices are due in full when received unless we have setup other arrangements.
If our volumes grow significantly, can we negotiate lower rates? Emailer Jones has already built in discounts on both the campaign charge and the per-email charge. As your volumes grow, your rates WILL go down. If you would like to talk about other discounts available for longer-term commitments, just let us know. We always like talking to our customers.
What do you mean when you talk about “follow-up sequences”? Advanced email marketing campaigns require the ability to automatically recognize and respond to user interests as indicated by their clicks on the original email. While our toolset does not currently include an automatic auto-responder, we can setup a follow-up sequence plan for your email campaign that can include welcome emails to new users, detailed information about product interest, and other “directed-action” emails. This is a very effective way to keep your customers in the loop with your business and product and is an easy way to alert your sales force of opportunities for personal follow-up.
Why should I include a Social Media Interface? In today's digital world, your customers are very likely to be found on a variety of social-networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Emailer Jones uses these social networking tools every day and can work with you to create an effective integration between your email campaigns and your social networking followers. This service will be quoted separately based on your needs.
Is there any limit to how many emails I can send per month? No, you can send as many email campaigns per month as you can create. Please note, Emailer Jones takes the anti-spam laws VERY seriously. To send email to anyone using Emailer Jones, you must have clearly obtained their permission. This could be done through:
- An email newsletter subscribe form on your web site.
- An opt-in checkbox on a form. This checkbox must not be checked by default, the person completing the form must willingly select the checkbox to indicate they want to hear from you.
- If someone completes an offline form like a survey or enters a competition, you can only contact them if it was explained to them that they would be contacted by email AND they ticked a box indicating they would like to be contacted.
- Customers who have purchased from you within the last 2 years.
- If someone gives you their business card and you have explicitly asked for permission to add them to your list, you can contact them. If they dropped their business card in a fishbowl at a trade show, there must be a sign indicating they will be contacted by email about that specific topic.
Basically, you can only ever email anyone who has clearly given you permission to email them specifically about the subject you’re contacting them about.
What reports will I receive? We will measure your email campaign results and performance with advanced tracking tools and easy-to-read reports that will be sent to you on a monthly basis. The reports will track:
- Who opens your messages and who doesn't.
- Who clicks your links and who doesn't.
- Segment and follow up with subscribers based on their click, open, and sales activity.
- Follow your list growth over time
What is a Subscriber Builder Program? The single most important aspect to an effective email campaign is the quality of the subscriber-list. Successful Ventures email service programs are compliant with the CAN-SPAM act that is rigorously enforced by the FTC. We only accept user lists built through direct subscription to your site, interest expressed through personal interaction (trade-show, business meeting, etc.), or through a recent purchase from your business. We will work with you to develop programs to encourage the growth of your list, primarily through referrals to your website's registration page.
